How does the UPM Forte technology work?

UPM Forte technology is an enhanced surface treatment for glassine papers which includes more reactive groups, enabling stronger bonding between the silicone layer and the UPM Forte surface treatment.

In conventional liners, curing and anchorage occur at different times; typically, the silicone cures before strong bonds with the paper are formed. With UPM Forte technology, these processes are synchronised, resulting in a strong bond—like a zipper—between the paper and silicone.
